The Art of Successful Blogging
Since the launch of the Worldwide Success site a month ago I have done quite a bit of research about what it takes to be a successful blogger. I am still a novice, and not yet quite qualified to give advice on the subject. But during my research I have run into many successful blogs and have found several interesting articles about what it takes to be successful in the bloggosfere. I thought I would share the most interesting ones with you and let the experts speak for themselves.
But before I get started, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, let me say that I am very thankful for all the knowledge that is shared by the blogging community. There is so much to learn, and there are so many experienced bloggers out there that have shared what they have learned through their own experience and hard work. To the blogging community, and in particular to the blogs listed below, thanks for the knowledge you have shared.
- Steve Pavlina.com – Steve is first on my list. Not only because he is a great example of what successful blogging is all about, but also because this was the site that inspired me to get started with Worldwide Success. Thanks Steve! In the article How To Make Money From Your Blog, Steve provides a detailed assessment of how to be successful with your blog.
- Problogger.net – This is a must read for anyone serious about blogging. There is so much useful information here that your best option is to subscribe to the feed or to the free newsletter. If you want to get going right away, 31 Days to Building a Better Blog may be a good place to start.
- Steve-olson.com – Reaching 100,000 visitors in the first 30 days is quite an accomplishment. In the article How This Blog Attracted 100,000 people In The First 30 Days, Steve makes his announcement and gives thanks to some of his sources of inspiration, listing several successful bloggers, similarly to I am doing here. Make sure you check out his list as well. You will notice that some of the blogs listed there are the same ones I am referring to here. It is a tight community out there.
- PFBlog.com – This is one of the most successful financial blogs. In the article Six Figure Blogging, PFBlog announces reaching $100,000 from blogging income.
- eMoms at Home.com – This site has lots of great tips on how to become a successful blogger. eMoms Comparison Guide to Blogging Platforms and Hosting Companies is a great reference if you are looking to get started on your blogging journey.
- Aviva Directory.com – This site has a great article entitled 21 Sure Fire Tips For a Successful Blog Launch. Make sure to read this article if you are about to launch your blog.
- Jonathan Leger.com – In the article Get reciprocal links by not asking for them, Jonathan provides great tips on how to build links to your site.
- Read / Write Web.com – The article The Social Bookmark Faceoff is a great source of knowledge about social bookmarking which is a topic that anyone new to blogging must understand.
I also want to thank the people of Wordpress and all the developers that have created many great plugins. There is one plugin that I would like to single out:
- Polyglot – Malyfred developed this incredibly well written plugin, without which I would not have been able to blog in multiple languages.
I hope the list above is helpful to you in your quest to become a successful blogger. I have just started on this journey, but I have already learned a great deal from these great blogs and their respective articles.
