Ephren Taylor’s Success Secrets
Being the CEO of a publicly traded company is a high very achievement for anyone. Being the CEO of two such companies at the young age of 25 is an astounding achievement. Let me introduce you to Ephren Taylor, the CEO of Amorocorp and City Capital Corporation. Ephren is also the youngest African-American CEO of a publicly traded company.
Ephren’s success journey started when he was a teen. At the tender age of 12 he was already writing his own video games and selling them on the playground in school. By the time he was 16 he joined forces with a classmate to start 4Teens Network, a software company that developed high-end websites and later created a jobs search engine for high school and college students.
While still in high school Ephren was able to raise $700,000 in capital and had 14 employees working for him. Later 4Teens Network changed names to goferretgo.com, a business worth $3.2 million.
How was Ephren able to reach such level of success at such young age? According to him his parents played a key role. His parents instilled in him a high level of discipline and his stay-at-home mom was critical in supporting him throughout his youth. Pay attention to the message the Ephren’s mom always conveyed to him:
“You can accomplish anything you set your mind to.”
Listen to Ephren being interviewed by Donny Deutsch in the show The Big Idea:
Ephren is the author of the book Creating Success from the Inside Out: Develop the Focus and Strategy to Uncover the Life You Want. He also has a blog called Ephren Taylor The Wealth Engineer. Given his level of success, you may want to spend some time reading what he has to say.
