An Idea Turns into Millions of Dollars
In the last article we talked about the key to a successful idea and explained how great ideas are born out of the implementation of ideas that at first may not have the early indications of a big idea. We explained how through persistence and by tweaking the original idea based on the feedback you gather from your implementation you can develop something great.
In this article we are going to show you an example of how a simple idea can grow from nothing into a $30 million business. Once again, Donny Deutsch’s show The Big Idea came through and delivered a very inspirational story. This is how a single mom making $13,000 a year turned a simple idea into a multi-million dollar business. As you watch the video listen carefully to how Lisa Lloyd describes her philosophy towards the word “no”:
Folks, Lisa’s theory about the word “no” is the essence of what entrepreneurial success is all about:
“When I hear no, I don’t hear no, I hear not that way.”
When you hear no, it only means one thing – you have to find a different way. When your experiment does not work, change the parameters of your experiment. When something you do goes wrong, it is not a failure. It is not a failure! It is simply an indication that you have to do something different. Got it?
Implement your ideas, tweak them, tweak them again, and then tweak them some more. Follow this approach and you too can turn your idea into millions.
