Failure: The Secret to Success
In order to grow and become successful you need to get out of your comfort zone. You need to constantly push the envelope, set the bar a bit higher, practice a little harder, and compete with people that are performing at a level that is above your current level of capability. That is the only way you will grow, and it is exactly what top performers do to reach the peak of their fields.
A famous car racer once said “If you never crash, you are not driving fast enough”. There are many success lessons in racing. Racing is about the relentless pursuit of perfection, the constant search for an edge that will make you a fraction of a second faster than your competitor. That can only be achieved by “failing” many, many times.
Watch the following video in which Danica Patrick and others in the car business describe failure as the secret of success:

Don’t let temporary failures distract you from the pursuit of success. Instead, embrace failure as an opportunity to learn how not do to something. Understand that without failure there is no learning, without learning there is no growing, and without growing there is no success.
Remember that Thomas Edison “failed” ten thousand times before he eventually achieved success in inventing the light bulb. It never occurred to Edison that he was failing. In his mind he was simply getting closer to a way to make his invention work by discovering more ways in which it didn’t work. That is the attitude of every successful person. That is the attitude you need to adopt in everything that you do.
