Current Stock Market Performance Follows Historical Trends



The Standard and Poor’s 500 has rallied about 34% from its bear market low of 676.53 reached on March 9.  This can be categorized as a new bull market which is defined as a gain of 20% of more.  Although there are no guarantees that this bull market will hold, this performance is in line with historical trends that we have experienced in the past after a crisis.

The list below shows how market recoveries have occurred shortly after the events that caused the crisis:

  1. The recent volatility of the markets is starting to become annoying. I believe that the true corrections have already happened and that the trading we are seeing is just speculation of a recurring pattern. People are jumpy to conclude about bearish markets.
