How This Site Came About

I have always been very interested in success and the knowledge and techniques used by successful people.  What I mean by successful people is not necessarily the celebrity type, or the guy with the mansion and the Ferrari.  I am talking about people that accomplish many great things, live a very comfortable life financially, but yet manage to keep it all together, without losing sight of what is really important in life.

Given my passion and curiosity about this subject matter, I have researched it throughout my life. I have studied many books and articles on the subject of success.  But in the past, whenever I tried to refer back to a piece of knowledge that I needed and that I know I had run across somewhere, it was always very difficult to find it.  It could have been in an article that I had read in the paper or in a magazine and that I had filed away somewhere.  It could have been in a book sitting on my shelf.  Or it could even have been in some notes that I took about something I learned in school, observed, experienced or heard somewhere.

Then I had a great idea about how to solve the problem of finding the success wisdom I was looking for.  Why not catalog all the success related information that I had accumulated over time somewhere where I could do a search and find it quickly?  It sounded great at the time, but was I really going to spend my time cataloguing all this stuff just so that I could find it when I needed it?  Not likely.

But then a stronger motivating force came into play.  With the advent of the web and its related technologies I could not only catalog all this information for my own reference, but also use my own words to organize the information in the form of  articles and share them with thousands of people around the world.  What would I call this website that shared information about success with people around the world?  Simple:  Worldwide Success.  This was exciting enough to get me interested in carrying forward with the project, and I have been updating the site ever since with information I had identified in the past, as well as new discoveries.

What is this Site About?

The definition of success may differ by person, by country and by culture.  In many parts of the world, people associate success with money.  Although I talk about money to a great extent on this site, and it can even be considered its main focus, I personally don’t think success is only about money.  Therefore, I also cover many other topics related to success. 

What this Site is Not About

You won’t find my pictures splattered all over this site as you find in many other sites and blogs throughout the web.  This site is not about me and my success.  It is about you and your success.  I consider myself successful and qualified to write about the subject.  To give you some points of reference,  I am easily in the top 5% bracket in the US financially.  I also have done very well in the less quantifiable aspects of success, such as fitness, personal relationships , family and spiritual growth.  But this is all I am going to say about my success.  I would much rather focus on your success instead.

The Commercial Aspect of the Site

I am a firm believer in the concept of free enterprise and entrepreneurship.  To that point, this site does make money via a number of monetization channels, including advertising and affiliate sales.  Even though I can’t endorse every product that is advertised on the site, I do make this commitment: I will only recommend products that I have personally used and benefitted from.

The way I see it, if I can help people throughout the world become successful through this site, and if I can at the same time benefit from it financially, it is a win-win for everyone.
